The Billion Follower Summit 2025 was held in Dubai from January 11 to 13, 2025, where the winner of the one million dollar prize was announced — the largest and most prestigious global award for purposeful content creators. The award attracted more than 16,000 entries from 190 countries over three weeks. 10 candidates were selected for the final stage, and the public voted for five of them. The judging committee announced the winner on January 13, 2025.

In addition, the summit witnessed the announcement of the winners of the “Investment with Content Creators” program, which aims to support startups and individuals with pioneering ideas in the field of content creation. The program attracted 500 participation applications from 40 countries, with 25 candidates selected for the pre-final rounds, leading to 10 candidates in the final rounds.

British content creator Simon Squibb won the “Billion Follower Summit” award for 2025, which is the largest award dedicated to content creators globally, worth one million dollars. He was honored by Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, during the summit closing ceremony.

Squibb started his life as a homeless child suffering from dyslexia at the age of fifteen, but he transformed into an inspiring leader followed by more than 11 million people on social media platforms. He aims to help 10 million individuals start their businesses and achieve their dreams, as his content reached one billion views in 2024, directly helped more than 1,000 people, and inspired millions around the world through his motivational content.

Other Competitors at the Summit

The final list of award competitors included a number of prominent content creators, such as Mahmoud Zuaiter from Gaza, who uses positive content to inspire hope under difficult circumstances, and Nasser Al-Aqeel from Saudi Arabia, who simplifies books and complex ideas through his channel “Dopamine of Sciences”. The list also included the “Creators For Lebanon” group consisting of four Lebanese influencers focused on helping displaced families, and Australian influencer Samuel Widenhofer who spreads positivity through works filled with hope.

The judging committee was composed of an elite group of content creators, including Ahmed Al-Ghandour and Prajakta Koli, ambassadors of the “Billion Follower Summit”, content creator Zachary Dereniowski, and Amine Imner, winner of the “Arab Hope Maker 2024” title, and Hassan Suleiman, known as “Abu Fila”.
